The Wayland League of Women Voters and Energize Wayland will co-host Tom Holder, Director of the Department of Public Works, to give us the latest information on Wayland’s water, trash, and recycling.
- Wayland’s water: Wayland is preparing to make a Legacy Decision on sourcing its drinking water. The traditional use of local sources is providing regulatory and operational challenges. Obtaining water from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority may be a strong option to sustain the provision of drinking water in Wayland.
- Wayland’s Trash and Recycling: Like many other public services, the collection and disposal of trash and recycled materials is becoming more heavily regulated. Wayland is attempting to provide customer service amenities at the Transfer Station while operating a financially viable program. We will learn more about the use of the transfer station, what goes into each bin, and what happens to it.
Bring your questions, and invite your friends! The webinar is free and open to the public.
