The Town of Wayland is looking for help during this busy election year. With the increasing number of ballots due to vote by mail, the process to account for these ballots can sometimes be overwhelming. For the primary election, there are morning, afternoon, and evening shifts and a variety of positions (ballot box, checkers, greeter-types). There are also early voting slots. Training sessions will be held before the elections. Volunteers are paid for both the training and work at the polls.
The presidential primary is March 5th, so if you are interested, please reach out to the Town Clerk’s office at townclerk@wayland.ma.us
The experience of working at the polls is very rewarding and re-enforces one’s belief in our election system!
